Liquids that are thrust into the ear canal may get past the tympanic membrane and cause an ear infection. Liquids that are thrust against the tympanic membrane may cause damage to the inner ear. Would anyone who reads this go through the symptoms and let me know if they have had these symptoms or if there are any I have missed. Thanks for your help!
